Our theme is Colorado Wildflowers so think "Mountain Semi-Formal" when figuring out what to wear. But what does that mean exactly?? Just like traditional semi-formal, a “mountain semi-formal” dress code means that we want you to get dressed up as you would for a nice event, but lean into the mountain theme a bit, too. While you still want to avoid items such as sneakers, jeans, and tees, you can add a special touch to your look if you’d like, so consider adding in some on-themed elements or colors like blues, pinks, oranges, and purples for the mountain-themed wedding. A light jacket or sweater is recommended as mountain weather may vary. For Those Who Prefer a Feminine Style: While you still want to rock an evening dress, cocktail dress, or jumpsuit, look for colors, patterns, and/or fabrics that play into the mountain and wildflower theme. For Those Who Prefer a Masculine Style: A suit and tie or a dinner jacket and dress pants are still appropriate for a mountain semi-formal event, but consider adding a touch of the theme to your look. Earthy tones such as tans, browns, and blues, or floral ties are great ways to give a subtle nod to the ambiance. Please avoid solid green as the primary outfit color as members of the wedding party will be wearing green.
We have set up hotel blocks at two hotels in the Denver West area. Information on these can be found on the "Travel" page. If you would prefer to book at a different hotel, AirBNB, or similar service you are of course more than welcome to as there are plenty of options in the Idaho Springs, Denver West, and Golden areas.
Guests may purchase drinks with a valid ID from the Cash Bar via cash or card.
Yes! There will be shuttle service from the hotels to and from the venue. They are timed to make sure everyone arrives at the venue on time and will return you to the hotels at the end of the night. Details for hotels and shuttle service can be found under the "Travel" page. If you are not staying at one of the two hotels, the shuttle service is still available to you! Parking is available at the shuttle pick-up location, and it is easy to find for Uber or Lyft.
While you may be able to Uber or Lyft to the venue, is it very unlikely that you would be able to Uber or Lyft from the venue at the end of the night. The venue is semi-remote in the mountains with very limited cell-phone reception. We recommend using the shuttle service between the venue and the hotel, which should be a good location to Uber or Lyft to and from. While parking is available at the venue, we recommend the shuttle service available to all staying in, parking at, or ride-sharing to the hotels. Overnight parking is not allowed at the venue for any reason as the gate is locked overnight and there are other events the next day. If you do end up driving, here are some helpful directions: I-70 west (or east) to Exit 240 (Mt. Evans/HWY 103) Head south toward Mt. Evans and proceed 3.5 miles. Before you arrive at the ranch, you'll see the water department property on the left (6' chain-link fence). Head approximately 1/4 mile past the end of that property and take a left into the 3rd ranch entrance. You'll know you're here when you see the covered wagon! Park in the large parking lot and walk across the bridge to the Pavilion area. Just a side note: if you drive to the Trout Farm, you've gone too far. Turn around, and come back to Blackstone Rivers Ranch

We are leaving for our honeymoon (to British Columbia, Canada) on Sunday 8/4 (yay!) but would love to hang out with anyone who sticks around in the Denver/Golden area Friday and Saturday! Let us know if you have any fun ideas of things to do and we will add them to this response :) Fun Things to do 8/2 & 8/3 -Float down Clear Creek in Golden (https://adventurewestco.com/book-now/). We will be doing the whitewater tubing-no shuttle @ 10:30am on Friday.
There are gravel and paved surfaces around the venue spaces. Wouldn't recommend stilettos but block heels or something like that would absolutely work!
