We were in college and our friends introduced us. It would take a few months for us to start dating, but to keep it simple, what really brought us together was us both taking a chance on each other. It was December 2021 and Tab invited Grae to help her move into her new apartment in Greensboro. That Greensboro apartment was where we built our relationship. There were daily walks in a nearby park, gorging ourselves on $1 tacos from the Mexican restaurant down the road while binging TV shows, and fighting off hoards of roaches on a daily basis - well, Tab ran away and Grae would stomp them into oblivion after fumigating the place with the cheapest roach killer money could buy. Here we are four years later, we've moved to Charlotte, NC. We upgraded to a loft apartment - a shared dream home. And we started building our little family with the addition of our kitten. Her name is Thalia, and she's the most ferocious beast to walk this Earth... or so she thinks. These first four years were the most beautiful adventure, and now we are ready to continue that adventure for the rest of our lives.
