We are thrilled that you are here and we can't wait to celebrate our special day with those that mean the most to us. We met at a bar in the Southside of Pittsburgh called The Flats on Carson, also referred to as 'The Flats'. Brittany and her friends spent every weekend at this bar (only because they got to know the bouncers who would let them skip the obnoxiously long lines to get in the place). Brittany was with her friends, Amanda Schaub (MOH), and Stephanie Smith to watch the Steelers and Bengals AFC Wildcard game. The kickoff was at 5:15 pm so the bar wasn't quite as packed as a normal Saturday night, and they noticed a cute group of guys at the bar but they carried on with their night. The last guy to join that cute group of guys was none other than the Groom himself, Chris. Chris came up with a slick line to introduce himself to Brittany - "Hey, the waitress brought us extra shots, do you want one?" And of course, Brittany agreed. The Steelers ended up kicking a 35-yard field goal with 14 seconds remaining and pulled off an 18-16 win over the Bengals and well, the rest is history!

On a family vacation in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, Chris FINALLY decided to pop the question. We went to dinner with our parents that evening and Chris bribed Brittany into going down to the beach directly after dinner to meet his sister and her husband and their kids to look for crabs. They were walking on the beach to find his sister and her family, which they did, and shortly after, he got down on one knee and popped the question! Our parents were hiding on a beach access deck and they ran down after to pop a bottle of champagne and celebrate with us on the beach! Our families headed back to our vacation house and we stayed on the beach to finish our drinks and enjoy the moment. We walked back to the house to celebrate with our families and Brittany was anxious to call her best friend, Amanda Schaub (AKA Schaub- MOH) to share the exciting news. Brittany FaceTimed Schaub and heard an echo and quickly realized that Schaub was there to celebrate with us! Chris pulled off the perfect engagement with the help of his sister, cousins, and our parents, and we were able to celebrate this special moment with some of the people we love the most! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with all of you! xoxo Britt & Chris
