The Future Uphoff's

Where do we begin about our love story... Spencer and Gracie were sophomores in high school when they began to fall in love. What started out as best friends, and what Gracie thought would stay that way, turned into a lifetime of happiness together. Spencer first swept in and asked Gracie to their sophomore homecoming. Gracie believed they were only going as friends (boy was she wrong!) Spencer completely swept Gracie off of her feet with his gentleman behavior, kind mannerisms, and goofy personality. Gracie always had Spencer in the palm of her hand, but homecoming night was where Spencer began to fall in love with her contagious laughter, bright presence, and loving heart. I think both would say they thought one another was pretty cute too! ;) Fast forward from homecoming, Spencer asked Gracie to be his girlfriend a few weeks later. They dated all throughout high school. They were always together: cheering one another on, pushing each other to be better, and building a strong relationship surround by God's love, strong families, and the most amazing connection. During their senior years of high school, they knew they would be going separate paths for college. Spencer would be attending the University of Tennessee, and Gracie was staying home to work and complete college online through Liberty University. This took them into two years of long distance, which was the hardest thing for them yet. Anytime they could see and be with one another they would be. Gracie would take a lot of trips to Tennessee, and Spencer would come home to Illinois as much as he could. Going through long distance was definitely not for the weak! In the Summer of 2024, Gracie moved down to Knoxville to be closer to Spencer. Shortly after this, they welcomed their sweet fur baby, Kevin. They went through the seasons of 2024 and 2025 working endlessly towards their relationship and careers. At the end of 2025, after 6 years of dating, Spencer decided to purpose to Gracie in Cades Cove. It was such a perfect day with all of their parents there, and they couldn't imagine it any other way. Spencer and Gracie definitely shared their times of struggles and faults. It wasn't an easy road to get to where they are now, but it is one they are glad they took. Spencer and Gracie were always perfect for each other. From the beginning, everyone around them knew they were destined for each other. Wherever Gracie was Spencer was, and wherever Spencer was Gracie was. They were a match made in heaven! Spencer and Gracie cannot wait to take on this next step of marriage with one another!
