The closest airport is Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC), about 35 minutes from town. You can also fly into Montrose (MTJ) which is about 2 hours away, or Denver International Airport (DEN), about 4.5 hours by car. Car rentals and shuttles are available from each airport. Travel Note
Getting Around
Crested Butte is small and remote, so there are no Ubers or cabs available. We recommend renting a car, especially if you’re coming with a group or staying outside town. The good news: once you’re here, everything is easy. Downtown is walkable, and a free shuttle runs between town and the mountain.
