Best Man
Big-brother to the groom. A life long mentor and Jarrett's first best friend. Without Joseph, Jarrett would not have had the strength and resilience to pursue all he has in life. Joseph once referred to Jessica as a “Unicorn”— one of the highest accolades she has received in her 24 years of life.
Maid of Honor
“Stadge” (as affectionately called by Cookie and now the entire Harris and Payne clan) is essentially a Harris sister; Dr. Harris expects her on holidays and nieces and nephews have a strange affection for her grumpy dog, Bjorn. Staj and Jessica befriended each other seven years ago at their high school, Mount de Sales, through cross country and student government. Mutual interests include Chinese take-out, crying throughout “P.S. I Love You,” and shopping at Costco.
Groomsman
Nearly a blood-brother to Jarrett, Mikyle has been there for so many memories in Jarrett's life. Mikyle and Jarrett were captioned in a high school yearbook as being in a real "Bromance."
Bridesmaid
Jackie is Jessica’s cousin on Cookie’s side of the family (and dog-mom to Teddy’s furry cousin, Moobert). They grew up spending the summers on the beach in Puerto Rico and choreographing cringe-worthy dances to perform in front of the entire family. The cousins share a deep love for rice and beans, mofongo, pernil, as well as anything with the word “clearance” or “sale” in front of it. Jackie was hoping to host the wedding reception at TJ Maxx, but unfortunately no drinks are allowed inside the store.
Groomsman
Co-founder of the #meatsuite, and introduced to Chulo as “Big Uncle Ben.” To know Benjamin is to know the wild, adventurous side of Jarrett. They were roommates at teammates while at Notre Dame.
Bridesmaid
Often referred to as Jessica’s older “twin,” this is where Jessica inherited the love of animal print (originally learned from Mambo). Becky has also taught Jessica many of her own tricks over the years: first, and most importantly, returns to Marshall’s mean you are making money. Plain and simple (math isn’t hard!). Second, majoring in Theology will not render one disowned or unemployed. And third, one can be beautiful, virtuous, and a working professional, all while being a kick-a** mom.
Groomsman
Greer is akin to the younger brother Jarrett never had. Similar in many ways, roommates, and teammates at Notre Dame, Greer wants to grow up to be just like Jarrett.
Bridesmaid
Irene spends her days wrangling a wild JJ in the Texas heat and working as an PICU nurse; as a child, she was Jessica’s “cool” big sister who catalogued sharks and collected stuffed monkeys. Jessica inherited some of her personal style from Irene, growing up in her hand-me-downs from age 0-24. Jessica hopes to one day be as stubborn, humorous, and hospitable as Irene. Irene is also responsible for transmitting the use of “y’all” to Jessica from her time in Dallas.
Groomsman
Andrew and Jarrett became friends and teammates while in high school at Colerain. They tend to bring out the competitive juices from one another. Andrew will never let Jarrett live down his Northwestern Wildcats, stealing a victory against The Irish in Notre Dame Stadium.
Bridesmaid
Cecilia, affectionately known by Jessica as Cici, is what some might call "intense"-- which perfectly balances out Jessica's more free-form lifestyle. Cecilia and Jessica met freshman year and then lived together in Pasquerilla East, becoming fast friends through sleepovers (which will continue post-wedding), OSNAP rides to dorm mass, sales shopping, and stolen dining hall goodies. Cecilia is currently a medical student at U-Michigan, though her permanent allegiance is with the Fighting Irish.
Groomsman
Cousin to Jarrett, James, or more affectionately known as Jimmy, has brought tremendous amounts of humor to Jarrett's life over the years. HIs dry and direct style never fails to crack some smiles, but their mutual love of sport, the competition of any sort at late hours, has grown this brotherly bond.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Jessica met at Notre Dame, where they lived in neighboring Pasquerilla dorms. Later, they became roommates on Burdette Street, quickly bonding over their shared love for coffee, house sing-a-longs, and weekly deals at Fresh Thyme Farmer's Market. Rachel now lives in New Orleans and looks forward to breaking out her South Bend winter gear to brave January in Baltimore.
Groomsman
Despite now living in California, David has been a support and great friend to Jarrett since childhood. Initially, they would push each other on the gridiron of Colerain, but their relationship has blossomed and matured. David is inspirational to Jarrett and was a big advocate of him pursuing his dream of becoming a physician. He has also continued to inspire the public through his role as "Champ," and his alter-ego as Eagleman.
Bridesmaid
Katharine and Jessica met freshman orientation weekend, becoming fast friends in their first weeks at Notre Dame. They were roommates sophomore year, sharing a lofted bed set, and again during their senior year, sharing a basement room (with no windows and approximately 100 sq. ft) and loving every minute of it. Katharine is an all-star-- she runs half-marathons with no training, she's SBA President at UVA Law, and she's lead singer for a band in Charlottesville. However, ask Rachel Warne how they know she's human-- they've had quite some adventures (read, mishaps) in the kitchen with KJ.
