Sunset: Our neighborhood!! Located next to Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach (Dom's surf spot!) this area is a sleepier part of town and has some of our favorite restaurants - Outerlands, Hook Fish Co, Ebisu, and Mana. Presidio/Marina: This area has views of Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz from Crissy Fields! Restaurants and bars we like in this area - Greens and Balboa Cafe (known to be the best espresso martini in the city). There is a great golf course in the neighborhood open to the public. Mission: A fun/fav neighborhood in the city to find Mexican food! Some of our favorites are Lolos and El Techo. Castro: SF's LGBTQ+ neighborhood with colorful streets and amazing bars. Our favorite place to eat is Fable! North Beach: AKA Little Italy! This area is known for its Italian culture and restaurants like Original Joe's. Monroe (our venue) is in this neighborhood. Embarcadero: The city's popular (and touristy!) waterfront districts. Ferry Building and Pier 39 are two favorites.
Golden Gate Park is in the heart of San Francisco, and offers tons of activities. Things such as Botanical Gardens, Japanese Tea Gardens, Academy of Sciences, and Conservatory of Flowers are a few of our favorite places. We also love to just walk around and explore all of the nature the park has to offer - you can even find buffalo and horses!!
South of San Francisco, Pacifica and Half Moon Bay are beautiful coastal towns with breathtaking scenery. There are beaches, including Linda Mar Beach and Rockaway Beach. Our favorite hiking trails are also in this area, such as Mori Point which connects three beaches along the coast. Barbara's Fish Trap and Half Moon Bay Brewing Co. are two of our favorite restaurants with views of the ocean!
Muir Woods National Monument is a redwood forest just north of San Francisco. This is one of the first hikes we ever went on together and has become another one of our favorites. The trees are breathtaking (and massive)!
If you're interested in wine tasting a few of our favorite vineyards are Bueno Vista, Vianse, and Stewart Cellars. Keep in mind this area is about an hour away, but totally worth the trip!
