Grace and Xander met on the first day of college. They shared the same friends and hung out nearly every day that year. As they were both seeing different people, they focused on their friendship. A year and a half into their friendship and Covid-19 struck, and both returned home. When school started up again in the fall, Xander and Grace reconnected through one of their shared interests: anime. From there on, their relationship grew. Watching TV, sharing memes, and going on random adventures around the city were and continue to be some of their favorite activities. After one year of dating, Grace got accepted into graduate school and returned home to Minnesota. Distance, however did not prove to be an obstacle to their love. With a special thanks to Google Duo and Facetime, the couple grew their lives and their relationship together 900 miles apart. March 2022, it was Xander's month to fly to Minnesota to visit. Even though Grace knew he did not have a ring yet, she got her nails done just in case. The weekend came and went without a ring in sight. Grace looked forward to April, the next time she would see him. OR SO SHE THOUGHT! Grace and her brother went to the Minneapolis Institute of Art, where the love of her life would surprise her in the sculpture garden. In that beautiful space, Grace and Xander promised a life with each other. The couple is anticipating their next big chapter and are so excited to celebrate with you!
