This is a great spot to grab breakfast over the weekend. We've stopped here several times on trips to Luray for coffee, a breakfast sandwich, or lunch.
If you haven't been to the caverns, it's a cool excursion! The tour takes about an hour. Allocate about two hours as lines can be long. Tickets are about $25 per person.
This spot can be accessed from the side entrance to Mimslyn Inn. We recommend this for folks who want to head back to town after the reception.
This is a great 20-30 minute walk that ends in a beautiful vista of the area.
Grace and Scott had different reactions to the zoo--ask us about it. There's a snake room involved, but there's also a fun outdoors space with a tiger and lots of goats.
From Luray, head into Shenandoah National Park (there is a park entrance fee), and drive south on Skyline Drive for about 20 minutes to access Stony Man Mountain. A variety of other trails, including White Oak Canyon, are accessible via the Park.
Check out the foundation website for a map of the trail. The trail runs along Hawksbill Creek through downtown Luray.
