FAQs

As the date gets closer more information will be added to this website, here's some answers to frequently asked questions.
Question

What does an "Open Ceremony" mean?

Answer

We would love to celebrate with anyone who would like to come! So we will be having open doors for our ceremony including those not formally invited to our reception. For the following events and reception it will be guests who received invitations only. We are thankful to whoever will be able to attend our celebration.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

With a semi-formal dress code we encourage suits or slacks and a button-up shirt for the men and for the women we suggest cocktail, midi or maxi dresses in spring colors or patterns. The cocktail hour and reception will be outdoors on grass. So a light layer may be necessary as the night cools off and footwear should be considered for comfortable wear on grass. If you'd like to avoid matching the wedding party, the bridesmaids will be wearing light blue and the groomsmen will wear light grey. Please do not wear a light blue suit or a white dress in order to let the Bride and Groom stand out.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 3 PM. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony to get settled. The church will be open to guests starting at 2:30 PM. Once the processional starts and the ceremony is ongoing the doors will be closed to guests. Please arrive early to ensure you don’t miss it!

Question

Can I bring my kids or a plus one?

Answer

While we wish we could accommodate everyone we only have room at the reception for those listed directly on the invitation. The only young kiddos we're inviting are in the wedding party, so we invite you to enjoy a kid-free night out and appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that you enjoy this special moment with us and ask for an unplugged ceremony. We have awesome professionals capturing everything and will share these photos. After the ceremony please feel free to take all the photos you'd like!

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony the couple will have a receiving line in order to have a chance to greet guests who are not invited to the post ceremony events. Guests who received an invitation will be ushered outside to the reception space to enjoy refreshments while the bride and groom greet the other guests and then take photos.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes we are! You can find all of our registry requests on this website through Zola. We appreciate you wanting to celebrate with us and any gift will be a blessing.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Our wedding will be a dry event with no alcohol served. We request that no alcohol is brought into the wedding as our venue has a strict no alcohol policy. We will have a variety of non-alcoholic beverages available and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

We did not block out rooms to give out-of-town guests free rein to stay wherever is most convenient and comfortable. There are many hotels and home rentals available through platforms like Airbnb in the area.
