A top-tier spot for great food (and even better margaritas!) — Jose Pepper’s! Fun fact: this is where Grace worked during her college winter and summer breaks! The menu is full of all great things, but some of our go-to faves are the Monterey Chicken Burrito, Pollo Magnifico, Steak & Goat Cheese Towers, Beef Mini Chimis, Cheese Enchiladas, and definitely the Espinaca! If you swing by, be sure to tell the bartenders that Grace says hi!
If you're looking to sneak in a round of golf while you're in town, this is a great course! Fun fact: Grace actually grew up living on this course! (Does she know anything about golf? Absolutely not! But she can confirm the vibes are great.) How does she know this? Everyone who does golf says it’s a great course — so try it out if you'd like!
Grace may not know much about golf, but she has mastered the most important part — the clubhouse menu! Club 27, located at Lady Sykes Golf Course (and yes, it's public!), is one of her favorite weekly hangouts. You can catch her there every Thursday night — and when Levi’s in town, he’s all in too! Some of our menu must-haves: the loaded beef nachos, Greek salad, pretzel sticks, Club 27 mac & cheese, carrot cake, cheesecake, and M&M pizookie skillet. But the true star of the show? Grace’s go-to every single Thursday — the Club 27 Pizza. You can't leave town without trying it!
If you’re looking for a more upscale spot for a nice dinner out, 801 Chophouse is the place for an unforgettable steak dinner. With a beef ranch in the family, Grace is very particular about her steaks — 801 Chophouse is one of the very few places she will confidently order a steak — and they never disappoint. Her top picks? The Colossal Shrimp Cocktail is a great way to begin the evening. As for the star of the night though, the main platters...? The filet mignon, prime rib, and if you’re feelin’ fancy, and this is Grace's fav when she is wanting to splurge, the Wagyu Rosewood Ranches American Ribeye (chef’s kiss!). Pair it with their grilled broccoli or Caesar salad, and a glass of the Three Brooms Sauvignon Blanc — Grace’s go-to white wine at 801 Chophouse — and you’ve got yourself a five-star evening. Perfect for a celebratory night out while you’re in town!
Next, and yes... another Mexican spot but we promise this one’s also worth it! Jalapeños is a Grace & Levi favorite — and it’s actually Levi’s mom, Lori’s absolute favorite restaurant, so 3 for 3, you'll have to try it out. The food is solid, but the real stars? Their margaritas and espinaca. Like, dangerously good. If you’re craving chips, queso, and a little fruity tequila energy, this is your place!
One of Levi’s favorite places growing up — and now one of Grace’s too! Hillsdale Lake holds a lot of sweet memories, from fishing trips with Levi’s dad, Jim Bruns, and his grandpa, Chan Coffey, to fun weekends spent together as a couple. They even took their engagement photos here! While it’s a bit of a drive from the ceremony and reception, it’s so worth it if you’ve got the time. Great for fishing, renting a boat, lounging on the beach, or just enjoying a picnic with a view. There’s also a marina with some solid snacks!
One of our favorite spots — Craft Putt is mini golf meets craft beer, and it’s always a good time. Whether it’s just the two of us or a whole crew of friends, we always have such a great time. If you're looking for something fun and laid-back, this is it!
It’s not easy to find a store that’s fun for everyone — but Scheels is that place! Think of it as a shopping-meets-entertainment kingdom: shoes, clothes, home décor, fishing gear, and all the indoor and outdoor things… plus a mini food court, an aquarium, a kids' play area, and a full-on Ferris wheel inside the store. It’s a wild time, even if you're just there “to look around.” Fun fact! Levi gets almost all of his hunting and fishing products here, while Grace really likes their jewelry! Specifically, their Splendid Iris brand!
If you're in the mood for a classic bar and grill vibe during the day or looking to dive into the night scene, Brew Top is one of Grace & Levi’s go-to spots! Think awesome bar food, tons of TVs for sports fans, great drinks, and live music once the night begins!
If you’re looking for a spot to kick back, eat great food, and catch a game or two, The Bar (and yes, it's really called The Bar) is one of Grace & Levi’s top picks. While everything on the menu is amazing, some of their favorite items are the sweet potato fries with marshmallow sauce (trust us), the soft pretzels with cheese, and basically anything from the breakfast menu. We love it and hope you do too!
If you're in the mood to treat yourself, J. Gilbert's is one of Grace & Levi’s top picks. And Grace really loves their steaks here! The food is amazing, the vibe is classy, and it’s perfect for a special night out while you're in town.
Levi’s love for LongHorn is endless — not only is it a favorite local spot, but it’s also his go-to no matter where he’s traveling. Classic, reliable, and always hits the spot. His usual? A steak with a side of fries, and he never leaves without having one of their famous Texas Teas. If you’re in the mood for a hearty, no-fuss meal that always delivers, this one’s a solid pick!
