Our Love Story

When we first met, Grace had just recently graduated high school and Jacob was not long returned from his deployment. The spark between us was so instant, and we felt like we had known each other for our entire lives. Even with Grace heading off to college and Jacob having to stay back to finish his contract with the Army, we never missed a beat. The 2 weeks leading up to Grace leaving for school, we spent every moment we could together, quickly growing inseparable and infatuated with our summer love. The day came when Grace had to get all moved into her dorm, and of course, Jacob was right by her family's side ready to do the heavy lifting. It was not long after he went back to Fayetteville, that he was right back in Greenville to visit her again. The first year of our love story was filled with visits almost every weekend, first holidays spent together, and more love than we could have ever imagined. By the end of it, we knew we would be husband and wife one day. In year two, Jacob finally separated from the Army and without a second thought moved to Greenville so we could be closer to one another. He got an apartment in the same complex as Grace, and we quickly merged back into each others day-to-day routines more than ever. That year was filled with beach trips, great friends, new and old hobbies, and daydreaming of what our life together would look like. Our third year of dating, consisted of more date parties, socials, formals, and sorority events than Jacob ever thought he would attend and the biggest part of all - we adopted our sweet girl, Luna. She filled our lives and hearts with even more love. Even though Jacob was not in school, we really got to experience college together which was so special to us both. We also met people and made friendships that are carried through into this season of life as well. That year was filled with new beginnings, tons of laughter, lots of dancing, and memories that will last us a lifetime. In our fourth year of being together, so many milestones took place. Grace graduated college, we got ENGAGED, we moved to Raleigh together, and moved again into our first townhouse. How special this past year was and filled with so many moments that will forever be cherished. In the theme of new beginnings, we got to experience a new city, new home, and new life by each other's side. How lucky are we. We have been together for five years now - this season is filled with wedding planning, home decor shopping, and looking towards the future and how we envision our life together. As we prepare for marriage, we want to thank each and every one of you for shaping us into who we are today - looking back every moving puzzle pience, every act of God, has led us here. There is nowhere we would rather be. We look forward and dream of a beautiful life filled with dogs, babies, and hopefully a horse or two for Grace. Here's to a lifetime of love. Now and Forever, Jacob & Grace
