Like many modern love stories, we met on a dating app. As Henry often tells people, we met the old-fashioned way: Hinge. From our first date, it was clear this was a love connection (as Henry told his sister the next day). Within a month of knowing each other, we booked a trip to the Bahamas. What better way to test compatibility than international travel.
From drinks at the New York Athletic Club to cozy corners of Irish pubs around the city, our love story has been written across the streets of New York. Whether it was cheering on Chelsea Football Club, exploring new restaurants, or simply enjoying the magic of the Upper East Side, every moment together has been an adventure.
Grace knows firsthand the special feeling of coming home, and one of her favorite pastimes is watching planes land, imagining the joy of others returning to their loved ones. On a quiet Friday evening, Henry proposed in the most fitting way - just the two of us, watching airplanes land at Ronald Reagan National Airport from the top floor of our apartment building in Virginia. Ever thoughtful, Henry timed it perfectly: well after midnight when everyone we knew was fast asleep. Our loved ones were thrilled to hear the good news the next morning when they woke up.
It feels only right that we celebrate this next chapter where it all began—in New York City, more specifically the Upper East Side, which has always been such a special place for us. We can’t wait to share this special day with all of you! We are excited to celebrate with you all on Saturday, January 17th!
