Getting to Banff

Hi all! Please book your flights to Calgary International Airport, from Calgary to Banff is about a 1.5 hour drive. Below we have listed out some options for shuttles or car rentals that are available for your trip. The city of Banff has public transportation that travels from the resorts/hotels to Canmore, Downtown Banff, into the park, and more! For those renting a car - since the town of Banff is located inside the park there is a fee per vehicle to enter and stay ($22 per day).

This shuttle runs from Calgary airport to Banff & Canmore between 9:30am and 8pm daily - please make reservations in advance on their website.

If you haven't used Turo before it's just like AirBnb for cars! Schedule pickup for the airport and select your dates for the amount of time you'll be traveling.

This is where Greg and Grace are staying! The hotel is currently renovating all of the rooms, they have great options for 2-6 guests and is located very centrally to the downtown area.

Moose Hotel & Suites is a great location for guests to stay. It's in a great location on Banff Avenue which is where the downtown area is.

Moxy Banff

Moxy - a Marriott owned hotel - is the third hotel option we recommend! It is in a great location a bit farther up on Banff Avenue that leads into downtown, still walkable and just opened in the spring of 2024.
