1992-2023 Graeden and Red first played football together at Santa Rosa, where they, along with Kalei, formed an inseparable bond that continued long after their time on the field ended. When Graeden moved to Texas, Red was there for him as always. Not long after, Graeden met Grace—and Red was even present at their first date, marking the beginning of a meaningful connection and a shared circle of friendship. Shortly after Graeden and Grace met, Red tragically passed away in an unexplained boating accident. His loss was deeply felt by all who knew him. Graeden and Red shared a brother-like bond, and Red would have been proudly by Graeden’s side as he marries his “golden girl,” as Red so fondly called Grace.

Meg and Grace met while studying Interior Design at the University of Arkansas. Though their friendship took a semester or two to fully blossom, everything changed once they became roommates while studying abroad in Italy — from then on, they were inseparable. Meg married the love of her life in 2023 and is now a wonderful mother to a beautiful daughter, with another little one on the way.

Devynn Sandercock

Devynn, Graeden’s sister, is also one of his closest friends and most trusted confidants. When it came time to choose someone by his side, Devynn was the clear and natural choice. Devynn married Brady in 2021, and together they recently welcomed their first child, Sutton Alexandra, in March—Grace and Graeden’s first niece.

Abbey Burckart

Abbey, Grace’s longest and closest friend, has been by her side for over a decade. More than a friend, she has always felt like family. Abbey stood faithfully beside Grace through some of her most defining seasons, offering steady support through every trial. In 2022, Abbey married John Burckart, further strengthening that family bond. She currently resides in their hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas, where she and John are raising their two children and eagerly awaiting the arrival of their newest baby.

Mike and Graeden met shortly after Graeden moved to Texas, naturally crossing paths during a game of pool while he and Grace were out together. From that moment on, the three quickly formed a close friendship, with Mike becoming a cherished part of their extended family. A steady and reliable friend to both Grace and Graeden, Mike is someone they can always count on.

MK and Grace met by chance in Austin when a close friend of Grace’s, Dane, began dating MK. She quickly became a trusted friend, confidant, and a steady source of support for Grace. The three formed an inseparable bond, and MK and Dane are now set to be married this July.

Brady, Graeden’s brother-in-law, has truly become a brother in every sense of the word. One of the few people Graeden fully trusts with his life, as well as with his sister and now his niece, Brady holds a deeply important place in his world. From day one, he has embraced Grace wholeheartedly, welcoming her as part of the family with unwavering support and care.

Emily and Grace met while studying Design and Architecture in college, where they quickly hit it off and formed a close friendship. After graduation, they both found their way to Austin, joining a close-knit group of fellow Arkansas transplants and building a lasting community together. Emily is now married to fellow architect and Arkansas graduate Gary Weaver, and they currently reside in Dallas.

Kalei Aukai

Kalei, Graeden, and Red formed one of the closest bonds of friendship during their college football years at Santa Rosa—more like brothers than teammates. Even after college, they remained inseparable and never lost touch. Today, Kalei resides in Omaha, Nebraska, but the distance has never diminished the strength of their friendship.

Ryan and Grace met in college—Ryan studying Architecture and Grace studying Interior Design. They quickly became friends in studio, and, unexpectedly, both moved to Austin after graduation. From day one, Ryan welcomed Grace with open arms, becoming her first friendly face in a new city and introducing her to an incredible, steady circle of friends and support.

Richie Miller

Richie and Graeden met through their fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega, at the University of Tennessee. They quickly became close, soon after becoming college roommates and forming a lasting friendship. Richie, now a bass player and vocalist based in Nashville, remains one of Graeden’s closest friends. Despite the distance, the two make it a priority to see each other several times a year and continue to maintain a strong, enduring bond.

Baylee Stubbs

Growing up as an only child, Grace never expected to have siblings—let alone someone she could truly call a sister. When she was blessed with two incredible stepbrothers, Noah and Sam, her heart was already full. It only grew fuller when Noah married Baylee, bringing Grace a sister-in-law she adores. Noah and Baylee are now expecting their first child, and Grace is overjoyed to be welcoming her second niece into the world.

Travis Murdoch

Travis—affectionately known by his last name “Murdoch”—and Graeden met as roommates during the DPS Trooper Academy. From those early days, a close friendship formed, with Murdoch often becoming a familiar part of the stories Graeden would share each week with Grace. Now both serving as Texas State Troopers, they remain close and share a strong bond built on shared experience, humor, and a mutual love of college football. Travis currently lives in East Texas with his wife, Kylie, and continues to be a trusted friend and steady presence in Graeden’s life.
