A love story completely unique! So unique, Hollywood keeps calling. Unlike anything you’ve ever heard before! That is, unless you’ve heard of a little dating app called Hinge. Oh, you have? Well then consider us a part of the estimated 36% of engaged couples in 2025 who met on the app. But it isn’t how we met that makes our love story so unique. It’s who we met. And who we have become since the night of Tuesday, October 12, 2021. After being terrified to get out of my car at Edgewater Park, I mustered the courage to make my way to the sand volleyball courts. It was there that I first met my future husband. Man bun and all! Our first date consisted of roughly 5 minutes of pepper (until I was out of breath), a walk around the park, a stop at Mitchell’s Ice Cream in Ohio City, and concluded with a somewhat-PG make out sesh in the car. Don’t worry, my dad already knows these details. From that night forward, our adventure began. Our wedding will take place almost 4 years to the day we first met. We can’t wait to reflect on what these four years have given us, and celebrate with all of you, who have made our time together all the more special.

We woke up early in the morning of December 25, 2024 to celebrate our first Christmas in our new home. This would soon become our first and last Christmas as fiancés. Cleverly leaving a tripod stand as my “last present,” Eric had me set up my phone to record him opening up his last gift. He then remarked, “Wait! I forgot one!” After what felt like 10 minutes of him digging through his underwear drawer, Eric returned to the living room and got down on one knee. In the early morning glow of the Christmas tree, we made the easiest decision of our lives.

We will be having a private ceremony on Friday, October 10. Our reception on Saturday is our opportunity to celebrate with you!
