1. The Essentials (Book Now - 9 Months Out) [ ] Accommodations: Lock in your room at Pandrossos Hotel or a nearby spot in Parikia. Use code "C & G Wedding" for our group rate. [ ] International Flights: Book your flight to Athens (ATH). Aim to arrive by Wednesday morning (Sept 2) [ ] Accommodations: Book Hotel Avra Rafina" as our "layover" night before the ferry! Or a nearby spot in Rafina. [ ] Transport to Paros: You have two options to get from the mainland to the island: Ferry: Book via Ferryhopper. We suggest the 7:30 AM departure from Rafina on Thursday, Sept 3. Flight: A quick 40-minute hop from ATH. These sell out months in advance! 2. Official Requirements (3–4 Months Out) [ ] Passport Check: Ensure your passport is valid until at least December 2026. (Greece requires 3 months of validity beyond your departure). [ ] ETIAS Authorization: Since it's late 2026, most visitors from the US/UK will now need an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) approval. It’s a simple 10-minute online form. [ ] International Driving Permit (IDP): If you plan to rent a car or ATV to see the island, you’ll need an IDP (easily available at AAA for about $20). 3. The Final Details (1 Month Out) [ ] Travel Insurance: Always a good idea to cover any ferry delays due to the "Meltemi" winds. [ ] Power Adapter: Greece uses Type C or F plugs (two round pins). [ ] Bank Notification: Let your bank know you'll be in Greece so your cards work for those sunset cocktails!
