It’s crazy to think that one chance meeting kicked off our entire journey together, but here we are! Let’s rewind to Memorial Day 2019: the Hetrick boys rolled back into Bemus Point with some West Point wrestlers, ready for a fun weekend at the lake. They decided to stop by the Auer house to catch up before heading out on the town. Cael hadn’t planned to tag along, but the moment he walked up the Auer driveway and saw Grace, he knew he’d made the right choice. After a memorable evening that included emptying the fridge of beer and bonding with Grace’s parents, the boys moved on. The weekend came and went, leaving Grace wondering if she'd ever hear from Cael again. And just like that, a few days later, Hans and Kari found a handwritten note from Cael in their mailbox, thanking them for the drinks (smooth move, Cael!). Grace couldn’t resist writing back, and soon they became pen pals for the summer. By August, they were on their first date, and have been inseparable ever since. The last five years have been filled with amazing adventures—from two-stepping in San Antonio, moving across the country three times, and starting a new chapter in Chicago. They couldn't be more excited to tie the knot, celebrate with their family and friends, and embark on the biggest adventure of all in August 2025!
