We're so excited for you to enjoy the area around Gardnerville and Lake Tahoe! See below for some recommendations on what to do while you're here, especially if you are coming from out of town!
Lake Tahoe
This is where Anders proposed to me, so of course I'm biased! However, Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and the weather in September will be perfect for hiking, beach visits, and more. Tahoe is only a 30 minute drive from our venue, so enjoy it!
Genoa
Genoa is a tiny town just outside of Gardnerville, right at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The town is adorable and has things like hiking trails, golf courses and shops to enjoy. Plus, the oldest bar in Nevada is in Genoa!
Hiking
There is so much beautiful hiking around Gardnerville! Great places to hike include Jobs Peak, Fay Luther trail, and the Marin Slough Trail. Markleeville also has great shopping and hiking, and is only about a 20 minute drive from Gardnerville.
