Tenuta La Striscia

Tenuta La Striscia, (pronounced “streeshia”) is shaped by its family's women. Two generations back, Ilaria had been cast away after pursuing acting, not considered a noble profession. She later bravely returned and replanted the grape vines that once characterized the land, returning to her family roots while reintroducing the literal roots of her family property.
Her daughter, Alexandra, used her background in theater and set design to convert this historical villa into a hospitality space full of her own character and quirk.
Noble families often sold off their villas to bring in quick money and leave little behind, but these women invested their time and love to build something for future generations.
This strip of land, the closest fertile land to the city walls, used to feed most of Arezzo. This natural abundance translates into the menu at La Striscia's restaurant.
La Striscia is still owned and operated by the same family, and its rooms and wines are named after its women.
