Where should I stay?

Answer

Our recommended nearby hotel is Hotel l'Aretino, a modest but friendly hotel located in the city center of Arezzo. Nearby private parking is €10 per day. If you wish to book here, please contact Claudia at +39 379 118 2577 (phone or WhatsApp) or info@laretinohotel.com with your booking details and tell her Grace Watson sent you. She speaks good English. Also recommended is Hotel Continentale, a large hotel also in the city center. We don't have a point of contact, so feel free to book directly through your preferred booking site. Otherwise, downtown Arezzo is full of options from hotels to AirBnBs. Feel free to stray from our suggestions and choose whatever suits you!

Which airport is best?

Answer

Italy has many airports throughout the country, and guests flying from European countries may find convenient flights to some of the smaller airports not listed here. For guests arriving from the US, you are most likely looking to fly in through Venice Marco Polo (north of the wedding venue) or Rome Fiumicino (south of the wedding venue). They are two major travel hubs and are regularly connected with international carriers from the US. Rome Fiumicino to Arezzo is about 2.5 hours by car, or about 3.5 hours by train. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi to Arezzo is about 2 hours by car, about 3 hours by train. Venice Marco Polo to Arezzo is about 3 hours by car, 4-5 hours by train.

Where can I park for the event?

Answer

For the event: there is plenty of on-site parking at a lot just before the entrance of the resort. From there, it's a very short walk to the front gate. For guests who will be staying in downtown Arezzo, there is also the option of walking or taxing a short taxi if you'd prefer to keep your car parked at your hotel or other location. For your accommodations: if you are staying in downtown Arezzo, parking is more difficult as there is a ZTL in the city center. Do not drive in the ZTL and confirm your parking options with your hotel in advance.

How do I get to the ceremony at La Striscia from Arezzo center/train station?

Answer

La Striscia is about 1.5 miles from Arezzo station, or a 10 minute drive. For those who need a ride, services like Uber do not operate in this area (or Italy in general). There is a local taxi service you can reach at 0575382626. If there is enough need for it, shuttle services can possibly be arranged. If you require something like this, please contact us.
