Are children allowed on Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday?

Answer

All are welcome to events on Friday and Saturday. While we love your children, we are limited by our venue capacity and are only able to include the children of our out-of-town guests on Sunday for our ceremony and reception. If you're local or visiting from outside the Bay Area, feel free to bring your kids along to Friday and Saturday's activities. If you're local to the Bay, we hope that you can arrange a babysitter on Sunday evening to join us child-free.

What will Memorial weekend weather be like in the Bay?

Answer

East Bay summer is no East coast summer! We highly suggest packing some layers and bringing a scarf/sweater on Sunday as the venue is partly outdoors. It will become chilly, windy, and potentially foggy as the sun sets. Should I rent a car? How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Our wedding events from Friday to Sunday are spread out around downtown Oakland and Berkeley since we wanted to share a few different locations that are special to us here. We live in the Bay without a car so it's feasible without one if you use rideshares and coordinate carpools. Renting bikes and scooters is fun and easy but not realistic for getting to our wedding venue in the hills. We recommend renting a car especially if you plan to extend your trip and explore more of the Bay or Cali. We often use the app Turo which is cheaper than traditional rental car companies. There is plenty of free parking at our venue, The Brazilian Room, but we recommend carpooling or taking a rideshare to get to Tilden Regional Park.
