Kelly is Lara's favorite person- even during the years where Lara was taking the little sister role very seriously and was DEFINITELY not Kelly’s favorite person. She is Lara’s confidant, giver of advice, and role model. Lara enjoys being the same height, being an aunt to Kelly's four fur babies, and wearing matching outfits.
Jesse Goyne
Best Man
It was a run-off for the best man spot, but blood runs thicker than water and in the end brotherhood won. Jesse came into Jacob's life in 1996. They have always been very different and while Jacob was not always the perfect big brother, that never stopped Jesse from wanting to be by his side. He has had many roles in Jacob's life: roommate, test subject, brother, friend, and now he gets to step up to the plate as best man.
Allie Fricks

Allie is Lara's cousin and honorary sister. Lara likes picking on Allie like a little sister and snuggling with Allie's 3 dogs. The two enjoy talking about being teachers, getting doughnuts from apple orchards, and being first and second in line for food at family gatherings.
Jared Anderson
Groomsman
Jared and Jacob have always been close, in no small part due to the fact that they are cousins born only 6 weeks apart. Whether at summer camp, family gatherings, or beach vacations; whenever these two are together they are attached at the hip.
Ali Hobbs
Bridesmaid
Ali and Lara met in preschool and also went to church together. The two grew up a golf course away and enjoyed playing after church and trying to trick their parents into trading their siblings. Now they like tagging along on their parents brewery tours and lake house trips.
LD Thomas
Groomsman
LD was one of Jacob's first friends when the Goyne family moved to Wilmington. They can't remember whether they first met with scooters, bikes, or baseball in the cul-de-sac, but once Jacob moved into the neighborhood they were fast friends. More recently LD flew out to road trip with Jacob from California back to the east coast. It was a blast, but definitely more of an odyssey compared to their bygone days of walking to school together.
Lyndsay Carroll
Bridesmaid
Lyndsay and Lara met growing up in Greenwood and then roomed together at USC. Lyndsay is Lara's favorite art class buddy, makeup artist, and photographer. The two enjoy eating carb casserole, trespassing and talking about art and art-teachering things.
Chris Williams
Groomsman
Chris and Jacob came into each others orbit due to the simple things: cross country running and calculus. Their friendship continued from Ashley High to Duke University with many late night philosophical debates, Cookout runs, and frisbees thrown.
Kailin Good
Bridesmaid
Kailin was also one of Lara's college roommates. Lyndsay and Lara are both thankful to USC’s housing department for putting Kailin in their dorm and their lives and the three continued living together until Lara graduated. Lara and Kailin like taking naps (especially when accompanied by Kailin's dog Lilly) and going to the grocery store for something and leaving with a chocolate cake.
Vincent Wang

Sometimes your random freshman roommate in college grows into one of your best friends. That is what happened with Vincent and Jacob. Roommates for two years of college, but close for all four and beyond. Vincent was a part of Jacob's time in California, his road trip back, and his engagement weekend.
Katalin Bartz
Bridesmaid
Katalin is Lara's best and oldest friend. They grew up as next door neighbors and have been friends for Lara's whole life. All Halloween's, 4th of July's and Christmas Eve's were traditionally spent together, even after they were no longer neighbors. They enjoy spending time with each others’ families, talking about teaching and going to LaHa.
Andy Bradshaw
Groomsman
Jacob and Andy met through Duke's ultimate frisbee team, Brimstone. They shared a lot of experiences on and off the field of play. Some of the best college memories include frisbee tournaments, watching Dune, and camping out for days on end in the library basement. Andy was also one of the three gracious guys in San Francisco that housed Jacob for a few months of his California adventure.
Matt Hammond
Brother of the Bride
Matt is Lara's little brother. When 4 year old Lara found out she was going to have a little brother (and not a sister) she walked out of the room in disgust. However, Matt turned out to be a great friend and someone Lara is very proud to call her brother. Lara enjoys standing next to Matt to feel short and arguing with him over trivial things.
Faith Goyne
Sister of the Groom
Faith was still in middle school when Jacob went off to college. When he left their relationship was the common story of bickering teenage siblings, but as they grew the bickering gave way to a limitless supply of joking around. Faith has grown into a smart, funny, and talented woman whom her brother is excessively proud of.
Sully
Cat of Honor
Sully is Lara and Jacob's adopted child and favorite snuggle buddy. Sully, Jacob and Lara enjoy eating Chick-fil-A, watching groundhogs in the yard and cuddling with fuzzy blankets.
Zowski
Dog of Honor
Zowski is Sully’s little brother. Lara, Jacob and Zowski like hanging out in bed, visiting breweries and playing with Sully.
