FAQs

Question

When should I arrive/how long do I stay?

Answer

My plan right now is to hang out with everyone that weekend leading up to the wedding. We will arrive in Seward on the 9th. We are in the process of planning bachelor/bachelorette get together for the 10th, so if you are a young person and would like to attend that I would suggest getting in the 9th or 10th. More details on that will be coming soon. Then we are planning a fun filled day the day after the wedding to hang out with people since the day before the wedding we will probably have to be decorating and getting some stuff ready. We want to make sure we spend as much time as possible with the people that travelled all that way for our wedding. So people can plan around that whether they want to do their own thing the week leading up or the week after.

Question

Are you going on a honeygoon?

Answer

Not yet. We didn’t want to ditch everyone who took the time and money to come here, so we would love if everyone could stay an extra day after the wedding to join us on a kenai fjords tour and or a hike before heading back home. Again there is a time change so I would strongly suggest staying for a week if you’re wanting to make the most of the trip and give yourself time to rest

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

So there are lots of hotel/air bnbs around the town which you are more than welcome to do, however the lodge where we are getting married at we have blocked out rooms there for people to book. The cheapest room is $150, which is a really good deal cuz they are normally over $200. Then if you want a bigger room or a suite that’ll be over $200. If you do stay at the lodge they offer discounts with the kenai fjords tours if you use the promo code TREFONWEDDING and they also provide shuttle service.

Question

I don’t have a lot of money but I would like to come

Answer

It is an expensive trip, yes. But there are ways to save, even in Alaska. If you don’t want to rent a car, let us know we can have someone pick you up from the airport! Also if you bring a plus one or a friend you can split the cost of a room which will cut it down. There are also a lot of hikes around the town if you wanna do/see things without spending money. Food will be kind of pricey, maybe bring snacks with you if you wanna avoid purchasing a whole bunch of food. Obviously the wedding meal will be free so that’s one less dinner you gotta buy!
