Napa Valley

If you're coming from out of town, we think it would be lovely to take a few days to explore Napa Valley. It's one of the most famous and beautiful wine-producing regions in the world and it's conveniently just a 1.5-2 hours away from all the wedding festivities! A few of our favorite wineries or restaurants along with some iconic spots in Napa Valley and Sonoma are Round Pond Estate, Hamel Family Wines, Chateau St. Jean, Layla at MacArthur Place, Bottega Ristorante, The Restaurant at RH Yountville, Clos Du Val, Bouchon Bistro, Domaine Carneros, Chateau Montelena, Castello di Amorosa, Del Dotto Vineyards, The French Laundry, Auberge du Soleil, and The Kenwood Inn & Spa.

Lake Tahoe

We also highly recommend a trip to Lake Tahoe if you can swing a few extra days! The mountain and lake views are stunning and it is also super close - it's about 1.5 hours to North Lake and 2 hours to South Lake. A few of our favorite spots are Edgewood Tahoe, Sunnyside Restaurant & Lodge, Marcus Ashley Gallery, and Sidestreet Boutique.

American River Trail

We took our first photo together on this hike! It's super close to both downtown Auburn and the wedding venue and has stunning views of the American River.

US. Artisan Marketplace

Basically the real life version of Rose Apothecary (if you've seen Schitt's Creek, you know). It's a collective of local artists and brands and always has the best selection of locally made gifts, jewelry, clothes, accessories, etc.
