Plenty of shoreline and scenic hikes to explore. The couple's favorite is the 3-Dunes Challenge (Trail 8) - a 1.5-mile trail that climbs the three tallest dunes (a total of 552 vertical feet)
Valparaiso Popcorn Festival
If you're visiting from out of town, you'll be here during the annual Valparaiso Popcorn Festival! The festival celebrates the city's connection to Orville Redenbacher with live music, local vendors, and great food throughout downtown. The Popcorn Panic is on Saturday morning (5k and 5 mile run/walk) and an auto show on Friday night

Local distillery specializing in whiskeys, craft spirits, and infused liquors with $15 tastings on the weekends! Try the Popcorn bourbon (in true Popcorn Festival fashion) - something even my Kentucky bourbon fans haven't seen before
