“Mike first came into my life at Howard County General Hospital in June of 1991. He didn’t say much, since he had only been alive for a day or two at that point, but we have been best friends ever since! To this day, we share a lot of the same interests, viewpoints, and sense of humor. I couldn’t ask for a better brother! I’ve always thought Allison was a good fit for Mike, but I first knew Allison was “the one” for Mike when I saw them cook together. I forget what the dish was, but I was really impressed with how well they worked together. She brought out a side of Mike I hadn’t seen much before. It has been really cool to see them learn new skills and take on new hobbies together. They love each other very much but also complement each other very well. All that seems like a recipe for a successful marriage. As they say, teamwork makes the dream work!”

From there, we just meshed on all fronts: music, sports, culture — life. We became roommates and continued to be great friends after graduation. He’s been there for me during my low points and the highs in my life, and I’m just forever grateful for our friendship. Allison has always been by his side, and I know that she makes him want to be a better man each and every day. She’s the perfect match for someone as kindhearted and genuine as Mike is.”

“My friendship with Allison started in none other than Chemical Engineering 230. To this day I don’t think I would have survived without her support, friendship, snacks, sense of humor, study tips/motivation, library companionship, side quests, etc (the list goes on) in that class and all the classes that followed. Happy to say that now when we hang out chemical engineering is the last thing on our mind!!!! I’m so grateful to have had Allison throughout college and since! A couple years into their relationship, Allison told me about an Allison-themed party with Allison-themed trivia that Mike threw for her birthday. What a sweet and creative idea!! Not to mention how much Allison’s face lights up whenever she talks about him. He makes her so happy, and I am so grateful that they found each other!”
