Mall of America
It opened in 1992, and is the largest mall in the United States, the largest in the Western Hemisphere, and the ninth largest shopping mall in the world. Nickelodeon Universe, formerly Camp Snoopy, is an indoor theme park in the center of the mall. The park features roller coasters, among numerous other rides and attractions, including many not related to Nickelodeon, and is the largest indoor theme park in the United States. Sea Life at Mall of America is an aquarium that contains thousands of aquatic creatures, including sea turtles, sharks, sawfish, stingrays, jellyfish and seahorses. There are eleven exhibits featured at the aquarium.
Target Field
Target Field is a baseball stadium in the historic warehouse district of downtown Minneapolis. Since its opening in 2010, the stadium has been the home ballpark of Major League Baseball's Minnesota Twins. The stadium hosted the 2014 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
Round Lake
A fun little park with a sand beach, swimming, splash pad, and playground.
Minnesota Children's Museum
Minnesota Children's Museum features 10 permanent exhibits including a four-story climber with spiral slide, laser maze, car wash, ball launchers, maker space, pretend town and a gallery for toddlers and preschoolers. There’s also a traveling exhibits gallery that features a new exhibit every few months.
Minnehaha Falls
One of Minneapolis' oldest and most popular parks features a majestic 53-foot waterfall, limestone bluffs, and river overlooks, attracting more than 850,000 visitors annually.
Valleyfair Amusement Park
Valleyfair is a 125-acre amusement park in Shakopee, Minnesota, United States. Owned by Cedar Fair, the park opened in 1976 and now features over 75 rides and attractions including eight roller coasters. Valleyfair also has a water park called Soak City which is included with the price of admission.
Prince's Paisley Park
Paisley Park, Prince’s private estate and production complex in Chanhassen, Minnesota offers fans of the late music icon the unprecedented opportunity to tour the legendary 65,000-square-foot complex that served as the center of Prince's creative universe. Tours take visitors throughout the extensive main floor of Paisley Park, including studios where Prince recorded, produced and mixed most of his biggest hits, exhibit spaces that chronicle films such as Purple Rain, Prince's private NPG Music Club, and a massive soundstage and concert hall where Prince rehearsed for concert tours and held exclusive private events and concerts. Visitors can see artifacts from Prince's personal archives, including iconic concert wardrobe & memorabilia, awards, musical instruments, artwork, rare music and video recordings and motorcycles.
Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a 1,200-acre horticultural garden and arboretum. We took the kids Summer 2021 and had a blast!
Mill City Museum
Visitors of all ages will learn about Minneapolis’ flour-milling history in an iconic setting at the Mill City Museum, a Minnesota Historical Society site in one of the city's prettiest neighborhoods. Open Tuesday-Sunday plus summer Mondays.
Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
Explore more than 60 sculptures from the Walker’s collection on 11 scenic acres in the heart of Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is free, open to the public, and is open from 6 am to 12 midnight every day. Enhance your visit using the free Bloomberg Connects app to learn about the Garden’s history and uncover the meaning behind the sculptures on display.
Nice Ride Minnesota
Nice Ride Minnesota is the Minneapolis and surrounding areas' bikeshare service, with 3,000+ bikes and 400+ stations across Minneapolis. Designed for quick trips with convenience in mind, it’s a fun and affordable way to get around. The Day Pass costs $10 for unlimited 30-minute rides on a classic bike in a 24-hour period. See extra fees below for longer rides or if you upgrade to an ebike.
