The most delicious hand made pastries, biscuits, brisket, and coffee! On a horse farm with the best views and outside bistro tables in the flower garden. Head here for breakfast the earlier the better, it gets crowded!
Pinchot Sycamore Tree Park
Visit the biggest tree in Connecticut and see a scenic river view next to the bridge!

Take a country ride to our absolute favorite ice cream place, with a beautiful view! They always have a ton of flavors!
McLean Game Refuge
One of our favorite spots to take a calm walk in the woods. Relatively flat, lots of trails to spend as much time as you'd like. Not usually crowded.
Talcott Mountain State Park
If you want a hike, head to the top of Talcott Mountain and visit Heublein Tower. Not too difficult and an expansive view of the area. Give yourself about 2 hours total to enjoy. Parking can be tough just be patient
Penwood State Park
A relaxing state park if you want to stroll in the woods. Lots of shade. Across from Talcott Mountain entrance if that is too crowded!
Saville Dam
A stunning reservoir if you want a nice walk. Park and walk along on the hill across the street (watch for cars!!!)
Enders State Forest
A short but beautiful hike to the river and waterfall
Old New-Gate Prison & Copper Mine - Seasonal
Visit the country's oldest prison and old copper mine. Or stop by to see the beautiful mountain view behind it!
