What started as a random text message from a mutual friend in an attempt to set us up, turned into a whirlwind year and proposal in Central Park. Our first date on May 3, we met at Puttery for some friendly competition, but little did anyone know, Julie and Patrick were in it for the ~long drive~. After Julie sinks a hole in one the last hole to celebrate her victory, Patrick knew he had met his match! And thus, after the 5-hour date full of fun competition and conversation came to an end, Julie and Patrick knew that this was something that was much different than any other date before.

Since Julie is a lover of surprises, Patrick thought, 'what better way to surprise her than with a proposal in NYC?' With the help of Julie's Maid of Honor, Michelle, a "girl's trip" was planned. With Julie thinking Michelle was planning the whole trip, little did she know, Michelle and Patrick were discussing behind the scenes. Whilst they were enjoying their trip in New York City, Patrick was boarding a plane for the ultimate surprise! After tea at The Plaza Hotel, Michelle and Julie were making their way over to Central Park for some pictures and sightseeing. What happened next, Julie couldn't prepare for... After trying to find the perfect area for more pictures, Julie sees a recognizable face in that of her then boyfriend, Patrick. With some smiles and jokes back and forth between the two, Patrick dropped to a knee. Finally regaining his consciousness from blacking out (just kidding), Patrick looks to Julie and asks, "How about this for a surprise?"
