*We hope you are well! New invites and rsvps were sent out early June. See you on 07.31.21! Erin met Gordon at a social between Lambda Chi Alpha and Pi Beta Phi during their sophomore year at MSU. Erin could hardly believe she met a "real farmer". The two got to know each other better when Gordon's fraternity relocated directly across the street from Erin's sorority. Gordon was social chair and always the life of the party. Later that year, Erin asked Gordon to her sorority's formal and the two hit it off. However, both Erin and Gordon were enjoying life and never formally dated in college. Gordon moved to Baltimore post grad for an internship with the Ravens, and Erin moved to Chicago to begin her teaching career. The two lost touch, but never forgot their many happy memories at MSU. Four years after graduating, Gordon and Erin both moved back to Michigan. On October 30, 2016, during the annual MSU/UofM football game; Erin was tailgating with her family when she promised her cousin Ashley that she would take her closer to the stadium. A series of events led them to a tailgate on Shaw. Meanwhile, Gordon was chatting with friends at a tailgate nearby when he spotted Erin. Gordon was unsure how to start the conversation. Fortunately for him, Erin made the first move. Shortly thereafter, Gordon asked Erin out on a date and in no time, the two were spending every weekend together. Gordon and Erin have enjoyed traveling and many tailgates since then, surrounded by friends old and new. In May of 2019, after Erin graduated with her Master's degree from MSU, Gordon got down on one knee and proposed on the shores of Lake Michigan nearly ten years after they first met. They look forward to a day of celebrating their faith, family, and friends.
