FAQs

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We are planning a kiddo-free wedding. We know that may make things challenging for some of our lovely friends, so we hope you are still able to join us!

Question

Do I need a COVID-19 vaccine to come?

Answer

Yes! While we're not going to ask you to prove it, we would really deeply appreciate if everyone coming can get their vaccination (assuming everyone has had the opportunity to get it by September). Your health and safety is so important to us, along with the health and safety of everyone else attending. Weddings are relatively high-risk events, and we're all going to be sharing a lot of air, so it will make it much easier for us to maybe not have to postpone for a second time (cross your fingers for us) if everyone does their part and gets the vaccine!

Question

Is there cell service at this beautiful mountain lodge?

Answer

Nope! There's no cell service on the site, just Wifi, so keep that in mind as you make travel plans. If you plan to use a rideshare or taxi to get home safely from the reception, that may be something you'll want to coordinate and schedule ahead of time to ensure you're not stranded!

Question

What am I supposed to wear?

Answer

We'd love for you to look nice, since photographers can only do so much in post. But we're not super formal, and neither is this wedding, so please don't stress about being underdressed! We'd prefer no jeans, but beyond that, wear what makes you feel good.

Question

What's the food situation?

Answer

The wedding will be catered by Vegan Van! They are a fabulous Denver-based food truck and will be providing us with an awesome breakfast-for-dinner menu. Followed, of course, by donuts for dessert :)

Question

Parking?

Answer

On site and free.

Question

What's the weather like in Colorado this time of year?

Answer

Ha. Hilarious question. The only thing to know about Colorado is that the weather is unpredictable, and can vary from hour to hour throughout the day. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and the reception will be tented. Early September tends to be snow-free, but the temperature may get a little low once the sun goes down, so we'd definitely recommended bringing some kind of light jacket at least.

Question

Will I get drunker at altitude? Is altitude sickness a real thing?

Answer

Yes and yes. Drinking alcohol at a higher altitude will affect you differently, most likely making you a little more susceptible to getting drunk quickly. Also, if you are a big exercise fan, please do a little research about altitude sickness before going on that 10-mile run while you're visiting Colorado. The best way to manage both of these things is by staying well-hydrated, so please arrive to the wedding hydrated and ready to go!
