We first met at work, where for over a year we were on the same team, happily debating just about every analytic topic imaginable. In between those spirited conversations, Mark would constantly sing the praises of Cincinnati, while Valerie dropped not-so-subtle hints about wanting a personal tour of the city. After many promises, Mark finally delivered. For our first date, he showed us around Cincinnati, stopping at places that would soon become our favorites—Dixie Chili, Great American Ballpark, and more. What began as a long-awaited tour quickly turned into something much more. Since then, we’ve shared countless adventures together—from traveling to new places, to renovating our home, to raising our sweet (and sometimes mischievous) puppy, Pearl. Although we no longer work in the same office, one thing hasn’t changed: we still find plenty to debate… and even more to love.
