Maid of Honor
Emmalee is Maddie's maid of honor. They met in grad school and have been best friends ever since! Nothing bonds you like late night anatomy study sessions & nights out in good ol Grand Rapids. Maddie knew Emmalee would be around for the long haul when she called her stuck in a ditch off the side of the freeway mid January winter storm. Emmalee showed up to drive her car out of the ditch, made her laugh while waiting for a tow truck (for hours) and showed up to court to fight the proceeding ticket with her! From all of their Michigan adventures, to yearly girls trips, to surprise birthday visits.. the two of them have developed a sisterhood. Maddie is so honored to have Emmalee stand by her as she says yes to her forever!
Bridesmaid
Ruthie was Maddie's one on one camper back at SpringHill camps in 2014! They spent the week doing all things summer camp - boating on the lake, rock climbing, water sliding, eating one too many s'mores, dancing around the campfire and everything in between! Maddie quickly learned that there is nobody else that radiates God's love like Ms. Ruthie! Her joyful spirit and love for others was captivating. Over the years, Ruthie and her mom have become family. Maddie even lived with them for a few months at the end of OT school (sorry Lois for the smoothie maker at 5 am...). Maddie could not imagine her wedding day without Ruthie standing up there with her. Make sure you catch her on the dance floor!
Bridesmaid
Amanda and Maddie met at the end of 8th grade and became the best of friends during high school. They have one too many inside jokes and are always laughing together. Amanda is someone who allows Maddie to be her most authentic self- a little weird & a lot of silly. While the poster-board birthday cards have long been retired (what in the world were we doing at 14 years old?), what started as a high school friendship has become one of the most important relationships in Maddie's life. Amanda is a constant for Maddie - there for her in the lowest of lows with Pinkberry in tow and in the highest of highs with champange to toast. There is nobody else Maddie would want to go through this crazy ride of life with. The two have even found themselves on the same career paths as pediatric OTs! No surprise there!! After all these years, Amanda remains one of Maddie's closest friends, greatest supporters, and favorite people to do life with.
Bridesmaid
Jamie and Maddie also met at SpringHill, but their friendship really started when they both became roommates in Grand Rapids. Maddie often found herself shopping around in Jamie’s closet (she always had the best sweaters.. sorry Jamie & thank you for all the outfits), laying in her room (she was the only one with an AC unit in their first house… but let’s be real that trend didn’t stop when they moved), and generally just wanting to be wherever Jamie was (especially when the polar vortex hit and they didn’t move from the couch for days). Jamie is the most loyal of friends. She’s the friend Maddie calls when she needs an honest take & the friend who always makes an effort to keep the long distance friendship alive. Maddie adores Jamie and is so thankful to have her by her side.
Bridesmaid

They became quick friends - I suppose that's what happens when you live together and work together and even share an office together! Over the past few years, Ellie and Maddie have become a dynamic duo (at least that's what everyone at work calls them). With birthdays only two days apart and weddings only two weeks apart, Ellie and Maddie have shared in many of life's biggest milestones together. From navigating the chaos of work to celebrating the exciting moments outside of it, Ellie has become one of Maddie's closest friends and favorite people to laugh with. Maddie feels incredibly lucky that a coworker and roommate turned into a lifelong friend.

Lina and Maddie met in high school and have been the best of friends ever since. This past year, Lina moved back home to LA from New York, and Maddie couldn't be happier! Whether they're going on walks, eating at CPK, going to a workout class, or just chatting on the phone, Maddie always loves time spent with her Lina! Lina is the kind of friend who always makes Maddie feel seen, celebrated, understood, and completely herself. Through every season of life, she has been a steady presence, a trusted confidante, and one of the friendships Maddie treasures most. From high school to New York and back to LA, Lina has been one of the constants in Maddie's life and she's so happy to have her close to home again during this season!
Bridesmaid
Lindsay and Maddie have been friends since kindergarten, which means they've been making memories together for just about as long as they can remember. From trips to Big Bear with their dads when they were little, to prank calls in elementary school (sorry to anyone on the receiving end), to navigating the chaos of the LA dating scene in their twenties, Lindsay has been there through it all. From kindergarten classrooms to LA happy hours, Lindsay has been a constant through every stage of life. After more than two decades of friendship, Maddie is grateful that some things never change - Lindsay still gives great advice, always knows the best places to eat, and is still one of her favorite people to spend time with.
Flower Girl
Our favorite 3-year-old!! Auntie Maddie loves her little Ivy and cannot wait to have her be her flower girl! Matthew cannot wait to officially become Uncle Matthew and has loved getting to know Ivy over the years. Ivy is full of personality, keeps everyone laughing, and brings so much joy wherever she goes. We cannot wait to watch her make her way down the aisle on the big day!
Best Man
Joseph is Matthew's younger brother, and trying to encapsulate their relationship in a short wedding website description is an impossible task! Words fail to capture the bond that my brother and I have — we've been best friends for our entire lives, and I could not be blessed with a better brother, or one that I'm more proud of. I could not imagine anyone else standing up as my best man on my wedding day!
Groomsman
Micah and Matthew met at a Bible study during Covid, and the rest is history (!) From the first time they hung out "outside of bible study" down in OC getting ramen, their friendship has grown into something that Matthew cherishes. Micah is a friend who is always *there* — no matter how early, how late, or how much trouble Matthew may or may not be in. Together, they've shared countless laughs, dinners, trips, long drives, and early mornings/late nights. Matthew is incredibly grateful for Micah's steady presence in his life, his unwavering loyalty, and is so thankful to have him standing on the big day.
Groomsman
Phillip and Matthew met on the first day of 9th grade, in science class, when Phil asked Matthew if they wanted to be partners on the year's first science project. Matthew was new to Chadwick, and Phil was Matthew's first friend there. Since then, they've stayed close - into college and beyond - no matter how much physical distance has separated them. Phil has been a great source of encouragement, inspiration, and support over the years, and Matthew is proud to have him standing up with him on his wedding day.
Groomsman
Brandon is one of Matthew's best friends from both high school & college! Over the years, they've gone on countless adventures together — from a summer in Alaska working in commercial fishing, to backpacking in Montana, to summiting 14'ers in Colorado. Through all the years and memories made, Brandon has remained a constant, loyal presence — always down for a crazy trip trying something totally new. Matthew is so grateful for Brandon's friendship and shared love of adventure, and he's proud to have Brandon standing up in his wedding!
Groomsman
Parker and Matthew met on Twitter (!) — and after that first call, realized they had so much in common (college sports, faith, work, and little brothers!). They stayed in touch, and a few months later when Parker moved to LA to take a new job, they decided to room together. Over the last few years, Parker has become a close friend and brother that Matthew is so grateful for, and he couldn't be more proud to have Parker in his wedding!
Groomsman
Charlie is Matthew's oldest friend, literally - they met the first day of kindergarten!! They quickly became inseparable (except for those ~3 weeks when Charlie was "dating" the prettiest girl in the kinder class) - and Charlie is at the center of Matthew's most cherished childhood memories — sleepovers, surprise trips to Disneyland with the Moms, grilling and swimming in the pool during summer, early morning Saturday cartoons with cereal, and so much more. Matthew is so grateful to have had the blessing of Charlie's friendship over 2+ decades, and is excited for decades more of memories to come.
