Just 100 yards or so from the church to the village hall for the reception, just a nice short stroll, so no need to get back to the coaches until the return... So... this is about the coach we've organised to get people, mostly the ones arriving from Spain, from Gatwick to Dorchester on Friday morning. As per the RSVPs the only person in the English speaking group that will take advantage of this is Karen McRandall. As such I'm not planning to bore you with details about it and I'll rather send them to Karen directly. BUT... if there's a last minute change and someone indeed is thinking of using it, or somehow I got things wrong, please shout and we'll try to accommodate you. En concreto para el autobús del Viernes por la mañana... saldrá desde Gatwick Terminal NORTE sobre las 12:30 / 12:45, alrededor de una hora después de la llegada del vuelo en el que viajais la mayoría que vais a usarlo, el Easyjet EZY8010, que aterriza a las 11:45. El autobusero está al tanto de la llegada del vuelo, y cuando le den el visto bueno el personal de tierra (os tenéis que poner en contacto al pasar pasaportes y decirle a algún chaqueta amarilla de que tenéis un autobús de Excelsior Coaches esperando) procederá a acercar el autobús desde el parking a la zona de "pick up", que está simplemente saliendo del terminal hacia el parking. No tiene mayor misterio...
Melbury Osmond is a tiny village in the County of Dorset in the Southwest of England, where Rebecca was born and where it's been her life long dream to celebrate her marriage. We plan to get married in the quaint church and celebrate in style at a marquee set in the local village green. The closest town is Dorchester, where you should aim your travel and accommodation arrangements, and where we will round up the weekend with some pre and post social events over Friday and Sunday. Melbury Osmond es un pequeño pueblo en el condado de Dorset, en el suroeste de Inglaterra, donde nació Rebecca y donde siempre ha soñado con celebrar su matrimonio. Tenemos pensado casarnos en la pintoresca iglesia y celebrarlo con estilo en una carpa situada en la pradera comunal del pueblo. Not at all! The Friday event is thought to make the whole experience more enjoyable, and to enable social opportunities to get to know other guests and family members. As we're all quite old by now, we don't anticipate many of our guests to bring young children, so it will be a mostly adult-only event. For those with teenagers in your families, we would probably have invited them by name, but in case of doubt please talk to us and we will be able to accommodate for the best option. If you travel by car you will probably need to sort out parking arrangements with your hotel in Dorchester. If you choose to drive to Melbury Osmond, there's plenty of free parking available around the Village Green. Be aware that driving down to Dorset over weekends can get you to some heavy traffic, particularly around Stonehenge and the M25!
