Anthony and I love taking Lyanna and our dogs on walks here, and we love swimming in the creek during the summer. It's one of the reasons I fell in love with Chico, and I hope you get a chance to take a nice walk through the trails during your visit.
We have our own "mini Grand Canyon" as my beautiful future mother-in-law likes to call it. This is such an incredible view high above Chico, on the way up to Paradise. Bring your other half and leave a lock on the gate while you take in the views.
Take a tour of the brewery, grab a bite at the restaurant, and take a growler of some Summerfest home with you! If you like beer, you have to check our Sierra Nevada while you're here.
A fun spot in Lower Bidwell Park, Sycamore Pool is a manmade community swimming pool whose water comes from the natural creek running through. The pool itself is concrete but the water is all natural, no chemicals. It's a beautiful spot to take a walk, a swim, or lay a blanket out and relax in the grass.
I know I definitely have a couple people in my family that would have a great time taking a trip to this museum. They have 19 aircrafts on display and add more all the time, and there is no admission costs.
The Genetic Resource and Conservation Center (also known as the Tree Farm), is an incredible display of local flora and fauna, with big beautiful trees and Butte Creek running all the way through. We love bringing Lyanna and the dogs for nice long walks, and we hunt for painted rocks hidden along the trails. The trees and surrounding areas are so beautiful that I do a good amount of clients' fall family photos here.
A huge, enclosed park with tons of fun things to do for kiddos of all ages. We're here often and they usually have ice cream or snack vendors just outside the enterance.
