Bride
For those of you who don't know me, I'm Emily! I come from a VERY large family that I cherish so much. I was born in Pocatello ID and raised in Blackfoot ID. I'm an LPN. I'm so excited for this next adventure in my life with Bryan in our comfy little home that we have built together from the sticks up! The best part is, I get to start it all with the people we both love all in one place. To say I'm a lucky women would be cutting it short!
Groom
For those of you who don't know me, I am Bryan. I come from a large extended family stretched across the US. My parents are Susan and Peter Golinveaux. I have 2 brothers; Aaron (Annie) and Cameron (Tara). I'm an uncle to 6 littles turdheads. I'm from Blackfoot ID. Ready to start this next step with everyone that we both love all in one place.
Maid of Honor
Taylor is my (Emily's) oldest sister. She was my first best friend. She has been the greatest example and role model I could have ever asked for. As a child (and to this day) she was always a shoulder for me to cry on, understands my humor, and is always feeding me full of wisdom that seems to be endless from her big sister brain. I would not be who I am today if it were not for Taylor. She has given me a beautiful angel niece and my first nephew, Waylon, who has me wrapped around his little finger. Nothing brings me more happiness than to have her be my Maid of Honor.
Best Man
Cameron is my younger brother (ironically Emily knew him most of her life also). He wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for me, before he got hit by the car that could have killed him, I bitched to the old man that it was my turn the wear the Coors Lite helmet (an adult helmet that my dad, Peter, won in a bike-a-thon.) Instead he was told he had to wear the little kid helmet. That cracked helmet and years later, I still let him know that he would be dead if not for his big brother not giving into his fit that he threw. He is 31 now and may still throw some fits, but I couldn't ask for a better little brother. Thanks Camel for being my best man. Goose you're a hard #2.
Bridesmaid
I met Lizzie at college in Twin Falls on my 21st birthday. We became instant best friends and 6 years later she is still my go to person and adventure buddy. Her soul matches mine, she is one of my biggest cheerleaders, and always works me through any situation I come across. Every day I'm thankful our paths crossed. Even though we live 9 hours away from each other, it has never phased our relationship. Thanks to technology, we speak almost daily. It makes my heart soar having her travel to be with me on my big day!
Groomsman
Aaron is my oldest Brother. He's been nothing short of great role model to me my entire life. He has grown up to be not only a great big brother but also a great dad. Growing up in the potato capital of the US, a small town, you can say i found plenty of trouble to entertain myself and my wild group of buddies. Goose being 4 years older than me had been around, seen it, done it. So that set my path, I looked up to him, wanted to do the crazy things he'd done. But being 6'5 and built like a gorilla, Goose kinda kept me in line. A few beat downs and a couple life lesson later, I can look back and be thankful I had a big brother like him to look after me.
Bridesmaid
Hailey and I met each other in 6th grade and have so many memories growing up together. When I moved home from college, Hailey and I lived 5 minutes from each other and once I moved in with Bryan, I was 20 minutes from her, which broke my heart. Luckily, about a year later, Hailey and her family moved. We now will forever live 5 minutes from each other. Who gets lucky enough to have their best friend live 3 miles away from them?! Hailey has two kids who I have claimed as my honorary niece and nephew, and her and her husband, Russell, are some of Bryan and my closest friends. I'm so happy to have her be part of my wedding and have her down the road as my neighbor!
Groomsman
I met Honas back in middle school. He's been a long time friend and was also my roommate for the longest time. I've had some crazy times with this wild man. It's been an experience to watch the two of us grow up and see all the changes in both of us. From middle school dances, high school sports, crazy college nights, to him settling down with his wife and becoming a dad. Things may have slowed down since our younger years, since we usually talk about how bad our backs hurt when we get together these days but Honas will always be a lifetime friend of mine.
Bridesmaid
On the first day of 6th grade I was sat across from Danielle. She wrote me a note saying, "Do you want to be best friends?" and from the moment I said yes, history wrote itself! Danielle and I grew up inseparable and all these years we have yet to leave each others side. Through life changes, distance, and growing up, Danielle remains being one of my favorite people. I cannot imagine my big day with out her right by my side!
Groomsman
Furio has been a friend of mine for 15 years. He's my older brother from another mother. He's taught me a lot about my job and even more about the outdoors. Furio is an italian, and like most italians say, friends are family, and thats exactly how him and his wife, Jackie, have treated me since we met. I've got to watch his daughters grow up and make a lot of memories with his family. He's a top notch social worker, dog trainer, and family man. Its an honor to have Furioballs in my line with me.
Bridesmaid
Quincy is my younger cousin (on the Lish side) who was raised like my sister. Her mom and my mom are also best friends, giving us the easiest path to becoming best cousins. Quincy also joined me at college for one year once she graduated high school and we moved home the same year. She is always there to make me laugh and cry to. It makes me so proud to call her my cousin, and I'm forever thankful she shares her little boy with me. I hope one day I can say our kids are best friends too! It makes me feel so complete to have her be in my line!
Groomsman
Ben is about to be my new brother in law, he's married to Emily's sister Taylor. From the first time I met him, I knew I'd have a best buddy at all the family events. Ben and I share the same humor and hobbies making any get together a good time. He is a spot on electrician, and I appreciate him letting me pick his brain every time I need to. It's been awesome seeing him become a great dad and I'm grateful to have us be apart of the same family and for him to be one of my groomsmen.
Officiant
He's got the name where you have to say his first and last name. Not just John, not just Thornley. But John Thornley. It's a name that will live on, legendary. A mountain man in modern times. Whether hunting or fishing, John Thornley hears the call of the wild. You have to respect a guy who doesn't button his shirt all the way up, letting his chest hair blow in the cool breeze. John Thornley has been a near and dear friend to both Emily and I both. He is the type of guy that will hook the extra mile to help a friend out, even a stranger. His friendship means the world to us and that's why we picked him to marry the both of us. Oh, and he sings too. A voice like a song bird. Who knows? Maybe in the future Netflix will make a documentary about him and we can share our story of how John Thornley married us. We can only dream, thank you John Thornley.
