Way back in 2016, when it was no less than 90 degrees with a blazing Sahara sun, Emily went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. She met up with her stepdad, Dave. Bryan ironically was there with a group of friends, including Dave. Bryan and Emily recognized each other, the conversation was brief, and they just bashfully talked about working at the same place. Coincidence or not Bryan won the most he has ever won gambling and walked away $85 dollars richer, or 6 beers in fair currency. Later that week they worked a four-hour shift together and continued to make an impression on each other. They talked about how intertwined our lives already were and how crazy it was their paths had never crossed. They slowly began talking sunup to sundown and sometimes longer. It took some time for Bryan to gain the bravery to ask Emily on an official date; after two weeks, Emily put the pressure on him and asked, “Are you ever going to ask me on a date?" Bryan left Emily distraught for about 10 minutes after saying, “It was too soon.” After those 10 agonizing minutes of embarrassment for Emily, Bryan said, “Just kidding how about Friday?” Bryan took her to dinner and then to several other places because Bryan didn’t want the night to end. Bryan stalled again by stopping at the casino on the way home; they were quickly were down $20 and would have gone double or nothing but the car needed gas. Emily was so excited and had such a great time that when she got home, she called her best friend, Hailey, and the witchcraft began. She said, "well that's it, I am out of the dating game, this is the guy I’m gonna marry." From that date forward, history began to write itself. Written by our dear friend Lucas Belford
