Brian moved to little ole' The Dalles the last week of August 2015 for a fresh start from having lived in Santa Barbara. After he had settled in a little, a close friend of his suggested he should go to a church a coworker attends. Little did Brian know she had texted the said coworker (can you guess who it is?) a picture of him eating a bowl of cereal on a Sunday morning saying, "This is the guy you need to be looking at for at church." A few hours later, Elizabeth was looking for this strange guy eating a bowl of cereal in the church pews. Eventually, she spotted the the handsome stranger from across the room and went up and introduced herself. Brian was not expecting to meet a beautiful woman who would change the rest of his life. Elizabeth was amazed she actually met the man she would marry in little ole' The Dalles. As fate would have it--THE REST IS HISTORY.
Brian and I decided we needed a trip to Portland just to goof around. We went around and took random pictures of every statue we could find in Portland. Brian kept on telling me "We have to get to your favorite water fall around 6:30." I just figured Brian being a photographer that particular time has something to do with a certain kind of lighting he needed. Anyways, eventually we left Portland and drove to Latourell Falls. Once we got there Brian told me we should walk down towards the falls to make sure it was the right light before he lugged his camera gear down there. So, we went walking down the path. I was pointing out all these wild flower to him and singing at the top of my lungs. Brian kept pushing me to hurry up, which is very unlike him. As we got closer to the falls I noticed a couple photographers. I immediately stopped singing and was a tad bit embarrassed. One of photographers asked both Brian and Myself if we wanted to be in his picture up closer to the falls. Brian immediately said yes. All I was thinking was "It's super wet up there. It's really muddy. These are my favorite shoes. I just washed my hair." But, I remembered how hard it is when Brian asks people to be in his shots and they say no. So after a slight pause I said "sure." Once we got where the photographer wanted us, I turned away from Brian to catch my balance. When I turned back he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I, of course, said yes. We walked back down to the path. Little did I know these two photographers are a couple of Brian's friends. They were taking pictures and video footage of us! Brian had been planning this all day long. It was the perfect day!
