Ross
Best Man
Richard met Ross in 2010 before Ross even made his way to NC State. They bonded over their passion of competition by playing pong together. The legendary 218 suite in NC State's Bragaw Hall gained Ross as a roommate the following spring semester. While roommates, Richard and Ross bonded over their love for video games and sports. To continue the competition bromance, Ross joined the rowing team. They remained close despite both moving multiple times through their 20's but were happy to reunite in Raleigh in their late 20's.
Hami
Maid of Honor
For the first two decades of Alex's life, she didn't know of Hami, her long lost/Japanese cousin! But when Hami decided to attend college in the U.S. the two met. From their 10-day adventure with their moms to bring Hami to college, to living together in 2018 in CA during Hami's summer break, Alex found that Hami wasn't so much a 3rd or 4th cousin, but a long lost sister. When Alex decided to move back to NC, she quickly asked Hami to accompany her on the 5-day trip with Pumpkin. While their time together is often brief, they make the most of it, and know they are sisters for life.
David
Groomsman
Richard and David met through mutual connections and an incredible trip to Boston in their first year at NC State. Their friendship grew from the trip and beyond, eventually becoming roommates in the legendary suite. They remained roommates through the rest of their college careers. Richard and David's communication and cleanliness didn't only help living together, but solidified their relationship past college.
CeCe
Bridesmaid
CeCe and Alex's meeting is contestable depending on how you ask. Either way it occurred in 2002. The two were best friends quickly and spent many days running around the school/church with each other. The friendship didn't fade; in college they would get together in Wilmington for a quick coffee, which usually lasted hours. No matter the distance or milestone, these two will chat for hours!
Justin
Groomsman
Justin and Richard met through mutual friends and while at first did not think the best of each other, they connected on their enjoyment of video games. Fast forward to them working together at Two Guys Pizza, they continued their friendship and created a bond for life by learning about more shared interests and suffering endless hours of $1 slice. When Richard moved back to Raleigh, he moved in with Justin where the two lived together for 4 years. While they don't reside together any longer, the two are still incredibly close.
Claire
Bridesmaid
Claire and Alex met at Topsail Middle School, Alex's first public schooling. Claire and Alex became as thick as thieves. Their love for soccer and horror movies meant many sleep overs! Fast forward to college, both ladies attended APP State. As a repeat of 8th grade, the two were attached at the hip, even living together their Junior year. It is a guarantee that if these two are in the same vicinity they will be masterminding the best horror film escape, enjoying some amazing mexican food, or playing card/board games.
Allison
Officiant
Allison is extremely close to both the bride and the groom. Alex met Allison at St. Marks becoming close on the St. Mark Youth Board while Richard met her freshmen year at NC State (via David her husband). There is no better person to officiate their wedding as Allison's advice has always been sought by these two & she is actually the mutual friend that brought this couple together!
