Believe it or not, Billy and I first met on Tinder, back in November of 2018. I swiped right on a random Saturday evening while attending college at UWO and he super-liked my account while he was still living at home in Fond du Lac. After chatting for about a month and a half, we decided to meet up in person

Our first date was on December 29th, 2018 at the Appleton Red Robin. Because I didn't want to tell my parents about our date initially, I brainstormed and devised a plan to "go out to dinner" with my best friend. I told my parents we were going to Red Robin, which was true, but I was actually in a different city, and with a different person. Luckily our first date went well, and we chatted about anything and everything during that 4ish hour date. Following our first date, we began hanging out every few days and have been inseparable ever since!

On February 13th, 2019 Billy officially asked me to be his girlfriend, and it was a very easy answer! I was a young, smitten 19 year old who was excited about our future, and all the endeavors we had already planned.

The easiest yes of my life! On August 6th, 2022, Billy invited me out for dinner to celebrate my birthday which had been a few days earlier and then we had plans to meet up with friends after. A few months prior to our engagement, Billy found and purchased our first house, and we desperately needed some new shrubs, plants, and flowers to fill in our outdoor space. To help with this task, Billy suggested us visiting the Green Bay Botanical Gardens, and I agreed! We had visited the Gardens one other time with my parents, and I knew they had good variety to browse through. Upon arriving to the Gardens, we met up with our great friends Gabby and Drew Roberts and began walking around, looking at fun flowers and taking pictures of them, with no inkling to what was going to happen. After about 20-30 minutes, we found an area to recreate a photo we had taken two years prior. That is where Billy popped the question and I was in utter shock. The ring! The situation! Our relationship! The heat! There were so many things going through my head, but I still mustered up an answer and have loved being engaged! Billy picked out the ring all by himself and I love it more and more each day, and being engaged has been great!
