Cannot wait to celebrate!

Chris and I are finally set to get this on the road. We appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility as we pave the way through the pandemic. We chose to postpone our wedding twice considering the health and safety of all who attend. Not even a world wide pandemic will stop us from getting married when it's safe for everyone. We chose to postpone our original date- 6/20/2020 to 10/24/2020, as we were hopeful the pandemic would be gone by then. We were saddened and frustrated as we decided to postpone again considering the pandemic continued to have events up in the air. Alas the third time is the charm, Chris and I are excited to announce our new date of 10/9/2021 at Stone Cliff Winery in Dubuque, Iowa. We can't wait for all of our family and friends to join use to celebrate! Thank you again for your patience. We will keep you posted as we know more information.

Chris & I met through his sister Jamie over 10 years ago. We would always have a great time hanging out at the Hub Lounge!! I was hesitant to pursue the relationship as Chris was the brother of my best friend. Halloween 2015- Chris dressed up as the Grinch. I noticed that he was talking with other girls and I realized that I was jealous! I decided that on New Years Eve it was time to do something!! By midnight we had our first kiss! Within a week we had our first date and we have been inseparable ever since! The Proposal- New Years 2019 we went to Galena, Illinois to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. We had a great New Years Day Dinner, and a few drinks at the local VFW. We were talking about the future and asking fathers for permission to marry. Chris said a friend had called him and stepped out to have a quick conversation. I had no idea at the time that he called my parents to ask my Dad's permission to propose!! Chris and I like to drive around and explore so I had no idea when we were exploring Galena the next day he was looking for the perfect spot to propose. Funny thing is there was a government shut down so all the parks in the area that we went to were closed! We ended up going to a brewery for a drink before heading home. Chris was suddenly really distracted and was like "we need to go home" as I was getting hungry. We ended up getting into the car to leave. He suddenly wanted to go for a walk before we left. It was cold so I was surprised as he was so persistent on leaving. We strolled over to the pedestrian bridge downtown Galena, and I was getting pretty antsy to leave when I turn around and I see Chris on one knee holding a ring! I was so shocked and of course said YES!!! We were so excited to get home and share the news with our families!! It has been a whirlwind of a year preparing for our special day and we cannot wait to share with each and every one of you! October 9th, 2021 will be the happiest day of our lives! Cant wait to see You All there!
