How are you handling the event in regards to COVID?

Answer

Despite all of the craziness in the world, we are optimistically moving forward with our wedding as now planned. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting) and you are welcome to wear a mask if that makes you feel more comfortable. Our reception will be held indoors following COVID restrictions with guest count. Although we would love to celebrate with all of you, we want everyone to be comfortable and completely understand if you opt not to attend due to the current COVID-19 risk, just please let us know that you do not plan on attending. We also ask that if you do decide to attend that you only do so if you are feeling healthy.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love everyone's children but to allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for your understanding.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the service?

Answer

We have not set up transportation as we are unsure where everyone will be planning to stay. If you are from out of the area and do not plan on renting a car, we recommend using the Uber or Lyft services.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. Jeans and a nice shirt are accepted also. We just want everyone to come and enjoy themselves!

Will there be food?

Answer

Middle of the Island will be catering a Southern Buffet (Fried Chicken, BBQ, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, strawberry salad, baked beans, and squash casserole). And of course there will be dessert!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We will be offering a selection of Beer, Wine, and some spirits. You are welcome to help yourself but please keep two things in mind: 1.)The reception will be heavily photographed for memories and 2.)Please have a Designated Driver if you plan on consuming alcohol.

What can I bring as a gift?

Answer

We honestly have an abundance of items in our house so if you want to give a gift we would prefer donations towards our honeymoon or home remodel in-lieu of presents. For those people who want to bring a tangible gift, we are registered for a few gifts at Amazon and on our Zola registry. We are always thankful for home improvement or Amazon gift cards! If you do not want to purchase/donate on our online registry, we will have a card box at our reception.
