With beautiful views & wildlife, this is our favorite walking trail. We consider it a must-do if you're in the area. Please note, it gets very crowded so try to go early in the morning if you can! Day Use Area: 8am-5pm last entry at 4:30pm. Some more about Point Lobos: Point Lobos State Reserve contains headlands, coves and rolling meadows. Point Lobos State Natural Reserve has often been called “The crown jewel of the California State Park System.” Landscape Painter Francis McComas called Point Lobos “the greatest meeting of land and water in the world.” The offshore area forms one of the richest underwater habitats in the world popular with divers. Wildlife includes seals, sea lions, sea otters and migrating gray whales (from December to May). Thousands of seabirds also make reserve their home. Hiking trails follow the shoreline and lead to hidden coves. The area used to be the home of a turn-of-the-century whaling and abalone industry.

Located in Big Sur, Henry Miller Memorial Library is an incredibly cool spot to check out and a bit of a hidden gem! The space is a nonprofit arts center, bookstore, and performance venue in Big Sur, California, documenting the life of the late writer and artist Henry Miller. Open 11am – 5pm every day.
