Hotel
This is the closest to the venue, but not great access to the rest of town. It does have a nice river walk and trails around.
Hotel
This hotel will have one of the best locations for walking into town as well as the SMART train if you want to cheaply travel through Sonoma or Marin County.
Hotel
This hotel is one of the closests to the house. Very nice hotel and close to a few restaurants, but in a more industrial area. Short drive (<5 mins) to downtown.
Hotel
This is smack dab in the middle of town. Very chic hotel, but it is an old building and it might be a little loud with smaller rooms. Might have been updated as we stayed there 10 years ago. Parking is a bit of a pain here.
Flight
San Francisco International (SFO): This is the largest airport and usually offers the most flight options and the most competitive prices. If you rent a car, the drive involves crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, though traffic can be a bit hectic. If you’d prefer not to drive, the Groome Transportation bus runs regularly and drops you off right in the heart of Petaluma. Oakland International (OAK): This is a smaller, often more relaxed alternative to SFO. Depending on your origin, you may find great deals here, though there are fewer airlines and flight times available. The Groome Transportation bus also services this airport for easy travel to Petaluma. Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS): Located in Santa Rosa, this is the closest and most convenient airport. It’s very small, and security is usually a breeze. While flights can sometimes be more expensive or require a layover, the commute to Petaluma is very short. From STS, you can easily rent a car or take the SMART Train directly into town.
