Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
For the courtesy of our guests, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt House (Pittsburgh Bloomfield/Shadyside ). The rooms can be retained at a discounted rate by mentioning the "Glumac/Lamberton Wedding." Please make sure you book at least 30 days in advance of the wedding (12/18/24) so your room won't be released back to other Hyatt guests. We feel you will love the convenience of the hotel as it is only 5 minutes from the church/reception.

Are kids welcome?

The only children invited will be those in the wedding party - our ring bearers and flower girl.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
We are excited to share that our ceremony and reception are all the same location. Church of the Ascension just recently renovated/updated their venue space for weddings. As a result, you will not need transportation from the ceremony to the reception. Primary parking is in the Oakland Catholic High School Lot lot across the street from Ascension. 144 N Craig St, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. Access the one-way parking lot via N. Craig Street. The city has agreed to lift hourly street parking restrictions the evening of the event, so guests may park on the street surrounding the church for the entirety of the event. There is limited parking directly outside the church, and is available for guests benefiting from handicapped access.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
There is not transportation to the ceremony from the hotel. We are pleased to share though that our hotel is only four minutes from the church. The ceremony and the reception are all at the same location - Church of the Ascension.

Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional. We can't wait to see you!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive promptly for the ceremony at 2 PM at Church of the Ascension, 4729 Ellsworth Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pa 15213. The reception will follow the ceremony at the same location.
