FAQs

If you have any other questions that were not answered below, please reach out to Jaden at 660-956-6775.
Question

Is this an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony will be unplugged. We ask that all guests put away cell phones and keep them on silent during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present in the moment. We will have a professional photographer capturing everything, and we are happy to share those photos afterward. Thank you so much for helping us make this moment extra special!

Question

Can I bring a guest/plus one?

Answer

If a plus one has been designated for you, we'd love for you to bring them! Otherwise, we ask that only the guests listed on your RSVP attend. We have done our best to make sure everyone is included, but we know mistakes happen. So, if you believe someone may have been missed or have any questions about who is listed on your RSVP, please don't hesitate to reach out to Jaden or Cody. We are happy to help!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome! If you plan to bring your children and they are not listed on your RSVP, please reach out to Jaden or Cody so we can update our records. You only need to RSVP for children who will be taking a seat and enjoying a meal. We ask that children remain with their parents or guardians during the ceremony, and that they be stepped out with if they become fussy, out of respect for everyone attending. Please note that around 9:00 p.m., the reception will transition to an adults-only atmosphere.

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol to the event?

Answer

All alcoholic beverages must be purchased from Valley View Event Center. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited and will be confiscated. Multiple violations will result in the involved parties being asked to leave, in accordance with venue rules. This applies to all guests, members of the event party, and vendors without exception.

Question

What are the venue rules for smoking/vaping?

Answer

Smoking/vaping is not permitted inside of Valley View Event Center. Smoking/vaping is permitted outside of the Center at the designated smoking areas.

Question

What are the wedding colors and attire?

Answer

Our wedding colors include dark greens, burnt orange, tans, browns, and gold. We would love to see our friends and family dressed up for our big day! The ceremony will be held outdoors (weather permitting), so please plan accordingly. We ask that guests dress in semi-formal attire while remaining comfortable enough to dance and celebrate with us afterward. Please refrain from wearing white.

Question

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. and will be held outdoors. We ask that guests arrive 10-30 minutes early to allow time for seating. If you arrive after the processional has begun, please wait until it has concluded before taking your seat. Out of respect for final preparations, we also ask that guests avoid arriving earlier than this window.

Question

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting. In the event of rain, it will be moved indoors. The reception will take place inside.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Please note that transportation to and from the venue will not be provided. Your safety is very important to us, so if you plan to enjoy alcoholic beverages, please arrange for a designated driver. Thank you, and please travel safely.

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, parking is available on-site for your convenience.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will not be an open bar. A cash bar will be available at the venue, which accepts both cash and card, so please plan accordingly. Light refreshments will be provided.

Question

Are there hotel room blocks available for guests?

Answer

No, hotel blocks will not be available due to limited demand. If you need to book a hotel room, please visit the "Travel" section of our website for recommended hotels near the venue.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The deadline to RSVP is August 22, 2026. Please respond even if you are unable to attend so we can provide an accurate headcount to our vendors. You cooperation is greatly appreciated!

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Please visit the "Registry" section of our website to learn more about our infertility fund, which we are doing in place of a traditional registry.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! Both the outdoor and indoor space of the venue is wheelchair accessible.

Question

Will dinner be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes! Our menu will include pulled pork, a veggie, mac and cheese, and a salad. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let Jaden or Cody know as soon as possible. In addition, there will be a dessert table and snack bar for everyone to enjoy.
