Officiant
Duran and Gloria met in middle school when they were 12 years old through Gloria's cousin, Laura, who was trying to "hook them up." They figured out they were better off as friends though, as they enjoyed talking about everything from Nickelodeon shows like Hey Arnold/Spongebob/Legends of the Hidden Temple to deeper questions about religion, love, and career goals (like, whether Duran should pursue a career as a comedian and if Gloria should try to become a fashion designer). Life takes its turns and although Gloria can usually be found wearing sweatpants and a volleyball t-shirt with no fashion sense whatsoever, Duran is still funny as hell and that's why he's officiating Glohel's wedding. We are in for a treat.
Matron of Honor
Yep, this is the same Laura that tried to get Gloria to date Duran, the officiant, in middle school. Laura is Gloria's mischievious cousin and her ride-or-die. They have been through a lot together (like, they lived together for a LONG time) and it was through Gloria's dating mishaps that Laura met her husband, Tuan. It's a long story but basically Gloria dated a guy who had a brother who was into Laura so for a time, two brothers were dating two cousins. Anyway, they might be states and time zones apart, but they are still besties to this day!
Best Man
Pancho and I met during our freshman year in college. Two Latinos, just navigating the exciting and unfamiliar terrain of campus life. What started as casual conversations soon revealed lots of shared interests, with a deep-rooted love for partying topping the list. Our connection was amazing, and after meeting other like minded friends we decided to become roommates, setting up camp at our legendary 304 apartment in Tampa. Over the years, this apartment became more than just a place to live; it became the epicenter of countless memories, laughter, and unforgettable experiences that defined our friendship. Throughout our college journey and as we transitioned into our professional careers, I couldn't help but admire Pancho's unwavering dedication to chasing his dreams. He served as a constant source of inspiration. More than a friend, he was a mentor, always a few steps ahead in our shared journey of life. Our accomplishments, although independent from each other, and our shared successes, are a testament to the strength of the admiration we have for one another. Today, as I embark on a new chapter of my life, there's no one I'd rather have by my side than Pancho. It's an incredible honor, not only for my wedding day but for all the adventures yet to come. With Pancho as my best man, I know I have someone to continue sharing memories, guidance, and laughter as I share my future with the love of my life.
