Katie and Eric first crossed paths on December 14, 2020, at the Marcus & Millichap office in Palo Alto, California. It was Katie’s very first day on the job after just graduating from college, and Eric was one of the first people to welcome her. The two began officially dating on September 3, 2023 and are so excited to be saying ‘I do’ exactly three years later!

In the months leading up to a long-anticipated trip to Spain, Eric was secretly planning something extraordinary! Knowing how close Bilbao is to Katie's heart, Eric knew there would be no better place to ask her to marry him than in her home away from home! Determined to make his proposal a quintessential fairytale, Eric searched for the perfect ring, he discreetly met with Katie’s mom to ask for her family’s blessing, and hired a local photographer in Bilbao to capture the big moment. On May 2, 2025, Eric got down on one knee and proposed in the heart of Basque Country! It was everything Katie had ever dreamed of - and more. After the proposal, they spent two magical weeks touring Basque Country and Barcelona, soaking in the culture, food, and joy of their engagement.
