This strong, compassionate woman has quite a life story to tell including chapters on spirituality, world traveling, true love, and motherhood. She also bakes an excellent cake.

My soulmate, has known me technically since age 7 but our love didn't bloom until about age 11. She is a powerful and beautiful dancer, creator, and overall human being. She is also very snuggly. True love comes in many forms, ya'll.

My best friend, has known me since age 18 but our friendship really solidified our senior year of college when, abandoned by our other roommates for their boyfriends, Grace and I found more fun and commitment in each other than any of them could find with a stupid boy. She is a fierce athlete, badass scientist, and the most fun human to party with...ever.

My teenage partner in dreaming about adulthood and saying "f*@k off" to the world, has known me technically since age 10 or so but our sisterhood didn't start until age 12 or 13 when we bonded over a shared crush and our decision to flirt with each other instead. She is funny, smart, and one of my favorite alpha-women ever.

Among the first classmates Ben met in college, the two have shared obscure fascination after obscure fascination, some nerdier than others. Communication between the two is almost indecipherable at this point due to a shared amusement with abusing the rules of language, and similar threads pervade most of their time together. You don't meet a lot of people like Byron, and once you have, you hang onto them.

A friendship forged in time spent together after school waiting for teacher moms to finish work and tempered in the awkward early teens, it survived years of living thousands of miles apart and emerged unscathed to grow even stronger when both moved to Bellingham. Rollerblades to bikes, action movies to sports to video games, cheap beers to fancy cocktails--Ben's friendship with Elliott runs the gamut, but at the core it persists because Elliott is one of the kindest, funniest, and all around finest humans any of us has had the luck to meet. Ben has no memory of life without Spencer. From the Johnny Jump-up via firefighters, airplanes, Legos, and Redwall books to "hey, mountain biking is fun! we should show Spencer!" and then "well, Spencer is better at mountain biking than any of us will ever be", and through years of six-month catch-ups that felt like no time had passed at all, he's been an inspiring figure as well as a humble, kind, inqusitive, and thoughtful friend.
